Ingen Flair DVD i dag, men det havde jeg jo sådan set forudset. Istedet måtte jeg trøste mig med ROH WrestleRave 2003 som var endnu et godt show fra Ring of Honor. Review kan ses her

Look Closer. That is the "subtitle" for "American Beauty". So I decided to look closer and in fact watch this movie for the first time. Overall, it was awesome. All the actors are great and the story is both interesting, touching and funny. Why I never got around to watch it until now, I'll never know.
I spend way too much time doing nothing these days which is kinda bad. Even though I did read the first part of "Mao II" (little over 100 pages) I am constantly troubled by a quilty conscience as I feel I need to do more. Actually, I think I could read 1000 pages and it still wouldn't feel like enough. Enough is never enough for some reason.
Some good news! The Ric Flair 3 disc DVD collection has been sent from the supplier. I hope it will get here by Saturday but I'm counting on Monday as the day of arrival. Monday will also be Survivor Series 2003 day. Alas, more time wasted on wrasslin'.

Of course Blackstar has cancelled my order for "Lord of the Rings". I'm never shopping there again!
I just watched "Wag the Dog". Solid and entertaining movie with good performances by Robert DeNiro and Dustin Hoffman. Other than that, I've gotten a bit of reading done today. I hope to get started on "Mao II" tomorrow.

Yesterday, someone posted a link on a DVD forum telling people that blackstar.co.uk was selling "Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring" at a very low price and naturally I bought a copy. Well, now it seems it was a mistake and the offer was only valid if you bought "The Two Towers" at the same time. So it will be interesting to see if my order goes through...not my fault they're screwing up is it?
I finished "The Fireman's Fair". Good book, nothing special. Next up, Don DeLillo's "Mao II". After that I'm done reading novels for the exam. Nothing but secondary literature to go...

Guess who bought another DVD? "Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring" at the ridiculous price of 26 kroner for the 2 disc edition. When DVDs are that cheap I have to take advantage of it.
I spent the last few days back home with my parents celebrating my birthday. I got 5 DVDs + I've bought quite a few lately so I have a big pile stocked up I have to watch over the next days/weeks. I'll try to limit myself to two more DVDs this month and then that's it! "Dogville" comes out on November 19 and the 3 disc Ric Flair compilation is out the day before that. Both have been pre-ordered and again, I really hope I can stay away from buying any more DVDs this month.
I didn't get much reading done this week but today I'm gonna start reading Josephine Humphreys' "The Fireman's Fair" which I'll be using for my "project" in Southern literature.

I still haven't decided whether or not I wanna spend money on "Matrix Revolutions". Most of the reviews have been bad and I'm not really a fanatic Matrix fan. The movies are good but... However, I ended up regretting that I never saw "Reloaded" on the big screen so I'll probably end up going.
